2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND WHY WE COLLECT IT
Information You Provide To Us. You can provide information to us on our Site through various means, including: when you register at the Site and/or create an online account; on your account information page; contact us pages and forms; live chat / instant messaging; online email forms; and requests for information forms.
Information We Collect From You. The information we collect includes personal information, such as your name; address; billing address; email address; telephone number; your answers for your account security questions; and when you provide user generated content. In addition, when setting up ACH payments, we collect certain, limited financial information, such as a bank account and routing number in order to process payments on your behalf. You are not required to provide such information, but should you choose not to do so, you may not be eligible or able to participate in or receive the benefit of certain of our services.
No Information From Children Under Age 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not attempt to register with us at this Site or provide any personal information about yourself to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will promptly delete that information. Information We Collect Automatically. We collect certain information automatically as you use our Site, such as: IP address; browser type; computer or device type; operating system version; website from where you navigated to our Site; time and date of using our Site; the pages on our Site that you view; the name of your Internet service provider (ISP); location / geolocation information; and cookies. This information is non-personally identifiable information about you which is made available by your browser, computer hardware and/or software. This information is used to operate the service, to maintain and improve quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of our Site.
Pixel Tags. We may use "pixel tags," also known as "web beacons," which are small graphic files that allow us to monitor the use of our websites. A pixel tag is a type of technology placed on a website or within the body of an email for the purpose of tracking activity on websites, or when emails are opened or accessed, and is often used in combination with cookies. A pixel tag can collect information such as the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the computer that downloaded the page on which the tag appears; the URL of the page on which the pixel tag appears; the time the page containing the pixel tag was viewed; the type of browser that fetched the pixel tag; and the identification number of any cookie on the computer previously placed by that server.
Third Party Advertising Companies. We do not allow advertising companies to collect data through our service for targeted or interest based advertising. We may disclose some or all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf. We may also disclose non-public personal information about you to other nonaffiliated companies for our everyday business purposes, such as to process transactions, maintain accounts, and report to credit bureaus. However, we do not disclose such non-public personal information to affiliates or nonaffiliated third party companies for their own marketing use.

To Provide Products, Services, and Information. As described above, we collect information from you so that we can provide the services made available to you using the Site, and provide information that you request from us. If you have an online account, you can access and update certain information we have relating to your online account by signing into your account and going to Energy Manager. If you have questions about personal information we have about you or need to update your information, you can contact us. We will attempt to respond to your requests within 30 days. In some cases, it may take us longer to do so or we may not be able to remove your information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why. You can opt-out of receiving marketing and promotional e-mails from us by using your Account page, and by using the opt-out or unsubscribe feature contained in the e-mails.

California residents are legally entitled (at no charge and no more than once annually) to request information about how we may have shared your information with others for direct marketing purposes. You may contact us for this information via the methods set forth below in the contact us section.
